Terms of Service

These terms govern access to CommentBrief. The service is currently a beta product and should be used as a research aid, not as a substitute for professional judgment.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account, clicking the Google sign-in button, or using CommentBrief, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and may use the service only in compliance with applicable law.

2. The service

CommentBrief retrieves a bounded sample of public YouTube comments and uses automated systems to generate creator research, evidence links, content opportunities, commercial signals, quality alerts, and automation results. Features, limits, models, and beta pricing may change.

3. Accounts and authorized use

  • Provide accurate sign-in information and keep access to your Google account secure.
  • Use only videos and data you are legally permitted to analyze.
  • Do not share private report links or workspace access without permission.
  • You remain responsible for decisions, publications, replies, or commercial actions based on a report.

4. YouTube and third-party services

CommentBrief uses YouTube API Services. By using CommentBrief, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google, YouTube, Cloudflare, Railway, and AI providers are independent third parties with their own terms and privacy practices. CommentBrief is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by YouTube or Google.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Do not use the service for surveillance, harassment, discrimination, doxxing, or to infer sensitive traits about commenters.
  • Do not scrape, bulk export, resell, or create a database of raw YouTube comments through CommentBrief.
  • Do not bypass quotas, rate limits, access controls, security protections, or provider restrictions.
  • Do not submit unlawful material, malware, credentials, private data, or content you lack authority to process.
  • Do not misrepresent AI output as a verified fact or as an official statement from YouTube.

6. AI, sampling, and professional-use limitations

Reports are generated from a limited sample and may miss context, sarcasm, replies, deleted comments, multilingual nuance, or changes after collection. AI may group comments incorrectly or produce incomplete or inaccurate recommendations. Evidence links help review a signal but do not prove a claim.

CommentBrief does not provide financial, investment, legal, medical, tax, or other regulated professional advice. Verify important claims and use qualified professionals before acting on high-stakes decisions.

7. Ownership and feedback

You retain rights in content you submit. You grant CommentBrief the limited right to process submitted URLs, settings, and available public data only as needed to operate and improve the requested service. CommentBrief owns its software, design, and generated product structure, subject to rights in third-party data. Feedback may be used without obligation, but we will not publish your private reports without permission.

8. Availability, suspension, and deletion

The beta is provided on an as-available basis. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access to protect users, comply with law or platform policy, respond to abuse, or discontinue a feature. You may delete your account from the Data Deletion page. Deletion from CommentBrief does not delete content from YouTube.

9. Fees and refunds

The current beta does not charge users. Before paid plans are activated, prices, renewal terms, cancellation, taxes, and a refund policy will be presented for acceptance. Displayed beta prices are proposals and not a promise that a plan is available.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. CommentBrief is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from reliance on reports or third-party services. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the beta evolves. Material changes will be posted here or communicated in-product. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law. Contact us before continuing if you do not agree.
